The latest global migration trends suggest an increase in world migration with associated impact on people and economies. The level of development and poverty have also been found to contribute to the migratory pressures that workers face. However, migration decisions are driven by economic, social, and political context and pressures. These also have subsequent human resource challenges to business operators, supervisors and managers. This report presents from the available literature, some of the issues that migration-inclined workers present to human resource management.
